I invited two of my friends (both named Bill) out for a morning of fishing and after no luck at Lake Serene in Snohomish County I decided to try Lake Ballinger. We enjoyed good fishing when not fighting the wind. Using a wedding ring spinner and a worm trolled 20-30 feet behind the boat we caught trout in the 8-10 inch range. Watch out for the sailboaters. I had to yell repeatedly at the driver of one sailboat to stop after he cut behind me only 20 feet away from the boat. Some boaters don't realize your fishing and fail to excercise caution. The sailboater that snagged my line will give fishermen a wider berth from now on. While he was releasing my gear I explained to him how we were fishing and that with so much lake there was no need to get close to the boaters who are fishing. He then sailed down to the far end of the lake stayed there.
