My son-in-law and I fished from noon until dark.
Fishing was slow, but we caught one nice fish each. I had two others on briefly. Both fish were caight on a Light Cahill dry fly.
Others fishing the lake were having similar luck. The exception was one expert nympher who was fishing a black chrominid right on the bottom in the deeper water between the cliffs.
There was not much of a hatch before dark, a few light blue mayflies. But there was a great hatch and rise going on at Perch Lake as we left.
It was a beautiful day, however, and Dry Falls before the heat of summer is well worth the effort.
