I tried Lake Chelan for the first time last weekend. Two friends and I trolled hoochies/flashers on downriggers and caught ten mackinaw (half days Friday and Saturday). We had beautiful weather (shirt sleeves and no wind) except for a brief snow flurry Saturday morning.

Chelan guide Rick Graybill has a $10 booklet on fishing Chelan that is priceless. We had never fished for macks before and had never been to Chelan, just studied his book and put the info to practice. The key was trolling right on the bottom in 160-200 feet of water. We'll DEFINITELY go back again.
