Holy cow, I cant believe the lack of input on this little lake. About a month and a half ago, the dept. of Fish and wildlife stocked that lake with over 700 steelhead. I saw guys out there with nets scooping up the disoriented fish. I was sick, then I saw some guys out there with buzz bombs, snagging fish left and right. I mean come on, these are the easiest fish to get if your there fresh in the morning. I have hooked or caught at least two every time I have gone in the morning. I use those new Berkly six inch power worms on a true turn hook. No weight, just 4 pound test and a good rod. If you have been there fishing I'm sure you've seen me there, walking around with a big pink worm and a bunch of guys around me asking what I'm using. Fish slow and stay low, these fish are spooked, with all those hooks blazing across their backs. In the evening, its real easy to hook into some nice browns, cutthroat and an occasional steelhead. I also hooked some nice fish using a hot orange flat fish, with a size larger treble. In about a month the lake should finish turning and the trout fishing should get real hot. See ya on the lake.
