Had a chance to visit Nunnally Lake for the first time and found out why I hear so much about it. The weather was clear & warm with a gentle breeze. And the fish cooperated.
I worked the west end in the deeper water and found repeated success. A beadhead prince nymph (size 10 & 12) was the ticket with intermediate line, but had a good time with a dry damsel when the fish started to focus on them about 1:00 pm.
Fishing was strong all day from 7:45 am to 6:00 pm. Finally had to leave, my arm was sore from the strong runs by each fish. I was shocked by the size of these rainbows. I even found a few browns.
A great day, an unforgetful day and I'm planning to visit again.
