The weather was perfect with the temps around 80-85. A light breeze to keep it comfortable. The fishing was best around the island with the size ranging from 15 inches to 21 inches for the rainbows. My fishing buddy, Steve, taking the big fish of the trip at 21 inches. We did manage to catch at least one brown trout each day, however, they were slightly smaller around 12-14 inches. We used black chronamids in the size 14 & 16 range.
Fished them close to the bottom and twitched the line three or four
times...drove them crazy. Both of us caught and released 4-5 fish each hour.
We were on the lake from 8:00 am till around noon each day with the best fishing around 10:00 am.
