Fished the night bite at Canal and hooked a nice fish that went to the weeds and lost it. I had to listen to it almost all night long jumping from the weeds where it was tangled. My buddy hooked a nice 14 incher that was really fat and chunky this was all from the campsite in pitch dark. Woke the next morning and started to fish and did not get a bite until around 10 when I caught a nice fat 14incher. Around a hour later about ready to leave my buddy landed a 4lb trout that was almost as fat as it was long. Overall things were very slow which is probably the reason we only saw two other people on the lakes. We spoke with Mardon workers and they said the bite had really gone down and it probably was do to the weather. The carryovers looked to have fed well this winter and when it warms I expect some really nice trout from overthere this year.
