I hit the lake around 3:30pm till 7:00pm on 5/15. I was flying back from AZ visiting family when we flew over Lake WA. What a sight. I raced off the plane and grabbed my boat and my buddy. We launched in Kirkland and hit Sandpoint hard and slow. I was throwing crank baits and also plastics in hopes of a nice bass. The weather was nice and water was calm, but I didn’t have a bite. So we moved along the points and docks of Union Bay with the same results. The sun was going down so we decided to hit Juanita Bay for a quick once through, nothing. I varied my plastics between a black grub to a lizard to a pumpkin seed color 6" worm. As far as crank baits go I threw Rapalas and some Berkley “Frenzy”. I guess it’s just a matter of time. I have pulled nice trout out of this lake and a few perch, but this year I am focusing on Bass and It appears I have run into a learning curve. Good luck and tight lines.
