I was fishing with my girlfriend about 6pm at Seward Park. After
three casts with a black "4" worm, I hooked a 6 pound Largemouth!! It was thrilling to get my first Bass of the year, especially since I caught it with a new rod and reel I purchased just yesterday. The disappointment of this catch was first, that the new rod I felt, was too stiff- not enough play. Second I was using 10lb test, which allowed me to just reel the fish in with hardly a fight. sure it jumped out of the water and all, but there
is nothing like a real fight. That said, over all the experience was a thumbs up!!
In my opinion, Lake Washington is the most under rated lake in the state. There are huge fish in this lake, but for some reason when I mention I am going fishing at Lake Washington I get the response: is there any fish in that lake?
If they only knew! I know I do!!
