There is nothing better than fishing for salmon in beautiful metropolitan Seattle, except for perhaps, flyfishing the Madison. However, when you combine the beautiful weather, the scenery, and good fishing, not much can top that. I fished almost everyday since the opener and we have limited everyday except one. The fish are running about 4 - 7 pounds, in 50 to 80 feet of water. It really doesn't seem to matter what time of the day you fish, therefore, you don't have to be up at crack of dawn, another bonus. Bait of choice, or shall I say gear of choice? A chrome flasher and a red hook about foot behind the flasher trolled very slowly. Just look for the fish on the sonar and slow down. Tight lines.
