Tried to take the mother-in-law fishing for mother's day. Unfortunately Chain Lakes no longer has public access that I could find. We tried the old access from Wilms Rd but there was a closure notice in effect November 2000. If anyone knows if there is still a public access point please let me know bakerct78@yahoo.com. We then decided to try our luck at Horseshoe Lake. See the report under that lake.

i talked to a game warden today an he said he thought they still had a public access towards the bottom of the lake

There is public access at the end of Willms Road. You have to carry your boat about 300 yards. Bank fishing no good too shallow at access point. Spearfishing tench is the play at Chain Lakes.
