I went to this lake on the recommendation of a friend. I don't know what they were thinking. You can't fish much of this lake with wet flies or nymphs due to the excessive amount of weeds. 90% of this lake was so full of weeds you could not fish it without sacrificing flies and leader. The book (Washington 2002 fishing prospects) Lists this lake at 4 acres. The lake is more like 60 acres. I think it was damned and the size increased. I did find 4 acres of un-weeded water to troll my flies through. That resulted in 5 nice little Rainbows (9-10 inches. They fought better than the larger Cuts at Yocum. All in all not a bad time. If you go fish this lake, stick to the west end by the Public dock (right off the road to the campground). The boat ramp is near but you will have to paddle a ways to get out of the weeds. Good luck!
