My Dad and I arrived at the lake around 7:00am. There were about 20 boats already out on the water. The skies were clear and the lake was calm. We headed over to the east side to start still fishing. After fishing for 4 hours with green and rainbow powerbait we had a total 3 fish between the two of us. Most of the other people in boats were trolling, and maybe were having
just a little better luck than us. Around 11:00 we pulled anchor and began trolling along the east side of the lake with a variety of lures. Shortly before heading in at 12:30pm my Dad hooked a nice 13 incher that put up an excellent fight. When we got back to the boat launch we saw a guy fishing right from the shore catch a nice 13-14 inch fish. Of the many times we have fish Mineral Lake, this was the first time we had seen Mt. Rainier.
