Lake Surface temp was 40F. Lake water is a brownish color (tannic) and lake bottom is fairly flat at 18 to 20 feet, with the litteral regions dropping off quickly in most places from the shoreline.
I tried trolling various small crankbaits (Hot Shot #50, 30SE, and mud bugs) in hopes of maybe tricking a trout that had survived from last spring's plant... but didn't have any luck....
Looks like the lake might put out the odd winter perch or bullhead to a worm holding close to the bottom, but I forgot to bring the wigglers and so couldn't try this strategy...
