This is a nice little lake to use a float tube & fly fish. It is at a high elevation, somewhat sheltered so not too much wind, and it is somewhat pristine. I used ZugBugs, & Damsel Nymphs to catch & release several 8-9" Brookies.
I found half inch black or dark brown leeches in the first stomach I pumped & my size 12 leech fly worked great after that. Empire Lakes are close by & I had the same luck there with a few 10-11" Brookies. Empire is three small lakes each connected by a 15' passage about two feet deep - great for float tubes.

This was relaxing, not another person in sight during the three hours at each lake.
