My wife and I took a 5 day trip to Twin Lakes on the Colville Indian Reservation from June 4th through the 8th. We stayed at Rainbow Beach Resort on North Twin. The fishing was good for rainbows from 10 to 15 inches. Almost half of the fish were around 15 inches. We trolled green wooley buggers and careys using sinking flyline and caught and released from 6 to 12 fish per outing over 5 days. (We kept 5 fish overall). Virtually everyone else were either trolling a string of blades and a worm or were still fishing. I know the pop gear trollers were also getting fish - don't know about the still fishermen. I understand the lake contained brookies also, but we didn't see any. North Twin is a pretty lake in beautiful country. We didn't fish South twin, which is accessible through a channel between the lakes, but with the water somewhat low, we didn't try it. (I didn't want to row). Remember, Twin Lakes are on the Colville reservation and you need to purchase a tribal license to fish there.
