Just thought I'd drop you a note on American Lake. Besides
largemouth, American also had, up to last year, a few smallmouth. But now there are a lot more. Last year, under the game departments recommendation, American Lake was chose for a planting of (I believe this is the right figure, but close for sure) 24,000 smallmouth bass from 6 inches up to brood stock size. With the quality of water and plenty of gravel and rock
bottoms, I have no doubt the smallies will do a fine job of multiplying, while at the same time maybe helping curb the population of small perch and rockbass that overpopulate its waters..
