We went out around 12:00pm and fished the south end of the lake just before the inlet. We were about 200m away from shore, and we were using green BWO (Callibatis) flies in the emerger form, and just HAMMERED the fish! We caught and released over 30 fish between the two of us, and we have decided that fly-fishing is the ONLY way the productively fish this lake. Our biggest fish was easily 26in, and our smallest about 16in. This lake is getting better and better, and if it weren't for the %$&^ jet skiers the lake has the potential to be a blue ribbon fishery. If your heading out use a 5 weight fly rod with cortland sly-line, 9ft 4x leader w/about 2 ft of 3x tippet. fish w/ roads low to water surface, and give 3 sharp tugs in a row, then wait for 8 sec. and repeat. DO this till your line has been stripped in all the way, and hopefully there will be wind to drift you(you won't catch ANYTHING w/o wind!) I wouldn't recommend dry's on this lake, but use the BWO callibatis emerger!
