Wanted to avoid the weekend crowd at Chopaka, so I decided to give Blue a try. It's a very good thing I could use my trolling motor there, because the wind howled from the south for half the day, then howled from the north the other half. Used my battery up completly in four hours bucking the wind, but at least I was able to work the lake. I trolled a black leech and then a large (size 8) pheasant tail about 5-10 feet down. Hooked and released an amazingly strong 16 incher (took me into my backing) and missed several other strikes. I think this would be a great lake on a calmer day, and I've heard good reports about it lately. Maybe I'll hit right next time.
