I fished Silver on a lovely fall morning. A fog hugged the top couple of feet of atmosphere and the air was dead still. The lake surface was smooth as glass except for the many dimples and splashes made by feeding fish. It seemed like spring as everywhere I looked the fish were feeding and from the splashes being made and the few airborne fish I saw, the looked to good size. There was some kind of bug hatching and I couldn't identify it but it was dark brown so I put on a black gnat and started trolling. After 30 minutes and only one take I switched to a wooly worm with a bead head and tried that for awhile. No luck. Finally, I switched to a black wooly worm, no weight and dragged in on the surface about 60 feet behind the boat, nice and slow. That was the ticket and a nice 14 inch fat bow snapped it up.

For a lake on a major highway in the middle of suburbia there are still plenty of fish left and their size is pretty good.
