I was fishing just out of the public boat launch, my aunt fish's this lake all the time be it she has a house out here, she was trying to tell me that you can't catch anything out here without using power bait.
Being the stubborn person that I am I was stuck on using worms. My little cousins were fishing with me using power bait- they didn't catch anything, I on the other hand landed two really nice 15" rainbows. The one thing that was kind of weird was one of the trout had white meat, and the other was pink, I heard that maybe the D.F.W.L, might be experimenting with some crossbreeding between trout and the larger salmon? And that is why the one had pink meat. Anyway, I had a great time, and went home with two nice fish for dinner.
