I heard Blackman's Lake was planted early rather than after May 1, as the reports said. Arrived at the lake at 0830 and fished until 1230 with various streamer type flies on or close to the surface. The best, among the ones I tried, was the six-packer which accounted for 90% of the 30 plus fish I caught, all over 11 inches with most in the 12-13 inch category and two of the triploid trout which looked to be about 1-2 pounds. Released all but three which were bleeding due to taking the fly too deep. The weather was bad but the fishing was great!
