I generally do not fish Blackman's Lake this late in the year but my neighbor wanted me to take him fishing and I only had a few hours soooo, since the lake is only a few minutes from my house, I took him there. Had to experiment with different flies and depths but after a few tries, we settled on a green "superfly" and a "sixpacker" trolled right on the surface. The action was hot and heavy and there are not many people fishing this lake. We tried bait for a short time but only caught one fish in about 1/2 hour so we went back to trolling flies. Give it a try and you do not need fancy gear-I often troll off mono line and a spinning reel.
