The fishing was awesome on the days I fished. The weather was just as nice. I trolled brown rooster tail spinners on the surface (1/8 oz. size). I limited every day inside of a half an hour but released everything. The fish averaged 12 inches but I was able to get a carry-over at 16 inches. I released all fish and just had an awesome time. No crowds, no traffic, and tons of fish.

I talked with people on shore and they were having better luck catching the bigger hold-overs on power-bait right off of the bottom.

The hot fishing on Spectacle was accross from the resort on the extreme north end of the lake- towards the small town of Loomis.
You can't miss the fish feeding. A great lake to practice fly-fishing and have some success at the same time.


Caught over 50 fish each day I was there and usually fished for 4-5 hours.
