Weather was pleasant and I had a great time with the in-laws catching fish for the frying pan and the smoker. There were lots of half pound 12 inch jumbos and they were easy to take by trolling small bladed pop gear with a worm. Very strong fighters for their size. There was an algae bloom starting to take off and visibility was about 3-4 feet then (probably less by now). Those who plunked bait didn't do well. Needed the flashy blades to draw the fish through the murk. Explore around, the fish are in deeper water for a change.
By the way, the guy below who wrote about the bighorn sheep probably really did see them. We saw one just off the road near Loomis, and it's only a few miles along the mountain sides from there to Spectacle. I know the Dept. F&W planted a bunch down by Chelan a few years ago and they either did another release at Loomis recently that I didn't hear about or some of the Chelan herd REALLY likes to travel!
