Trolling didn't do much for us... but the bluegill were taking the dry flies. The next day we did really well dropping a worm one foot off the bottom in about 35 feet of water. The lake is beautiful.. We pulled in a few trout around a foot long, let them all go. This was my first visit to Alta Lake, but may consider buying land out there down the road some day. If you haven't been there, try to go next season. It is worth the trip. Bring a boat though.. there is only bluegill off of the shore (the kids love em though).
