Hey guys it's Paul again. I really don't know what everybody is waiting for, the fishing on this lake is OUTSTANDING!!! I've been out a few times now and brought home a limit of 12"-16"'ers every time. But man I'm telling you I've seen schools of extremely large fish on the finder. Fishing power bait off the bottom works great and you'll definitely catch your fish. But that way you have to go through to many little ones ( anything under 12"). The way I prefer to fish the lake at the moment is to fish with only a hook and a threaded worm, no weight or floating device what so ever. The bigger fish can't seem to leave it alone. I got most of my bites between 10'-20' with two 16's and a14 and a12 in the boat within two hours. I have been fishing from shore at the public boat launch and the dock behind the Spencer lake tavern and done alright, though the fish run smaller (about 10"). Trollers have not fair as well , even though the fish show up high on the finder. Well I don't know about anyone else but tomorrow I'm heading back out and try to catch me one of those 5#ers. see ya one the lake.
