Hit the water at 8am. 38f air 52.9f water with a light wind. Jigged corkies off the bottom like we did 2 weeks earlier but obviously the fish have moved up due to the temperature drop so we changed our tactics a bit and tied on hotshots and flatfish and fished them down to 10-15 feet and bingo the first fish was on. And as expected, once you find the right depth you can't keep them off. Tried a few other things like a yellow spinNglo, needlefish,
kokanee candy spoons and a comet. All worked pretty well, but the bigger fish seemed to like the hotshots and mini rapalas the best. The end of the day we counted up the totals (scorecards) and had a respectable 34 rainbows from 12-14" with the biggest being a nice 16 incher caught by my buddy. Oh one other thing in reference to an earlier submitted report please read the
regs. You can only use bait on your first five fish released or not. Then lures from then on. It's easy to limit out on this lake in a matter of minutes and find yourself breaking the law soon after. And if you catch and release then go barbless. Seeya out there.
