Got on the water at 0900 hrs. Trolled in between the island and shore...(east side) and took 4 German Browns one after the other...(Released ALL of them too) Largest was 16 inches smallest was a little guy 10 inches... I decided not to pester the German Browns any longer and went out to 55 Ft of water to have a try at my mortal enemy- the common Rainbow trout. I trolled my favorite rubber frog and got my limit of Rainbow in 45 minutes... They were all in the 16-18 inch category. They all fought like heck too ! The wind was picking up so I was happy to have caught my limit. I got off the water just as the 47 lb thrust trolling motor just wasn't cutting it anymore. The lake is starting to "churn" from the wind so gold colors are going to start getting more action than silver now. I was using a brown colored rubber leopard frog. People on the shore (right next to the boat launch) were doing fair with power bait. They might catch more fish if they WEREN'T SO CLOSE TO THE BOAT LAUNCH AND PARKING ILLEGALLY IN THE WELL MARKED NO PARKING AREA.<-HIDDEN MESSAGE.
