I had the opposite experience from the most recent report over the three day period. Hit the hatch on 4/12 and two of us caught 30+ fish. On 4/13, it was real windy and then more than real windy - tough fishing day. Still a hatch came off, but total number caught was much lower, (15) for two of us. 4/14, was absolutely beautiful - light overcast, no wind. There was a heavy hatch and we couldn't keep them off the dries. Two of use landed 40+ and only left to get back to Seattle before the AM. Most fish around 18", and ranged from 13 - 20", but as usual, even the small ones are strong. The baetis were light gray with black mottled wings, about size 14, but fish would hit smaller flies down to 18.
