Took the wife and four year old son out to Lake Lenore today. I've heard that the fall fishery there can be good, particularly in the south and center parts of the lake. According to the owner of a Sporting Goods store in Ephrata (Bass Country), Heavy spoons are the thing to use this time of year from shore.
I fished for an hour using this advice and during that time had one strike which translated into a good hookup with a 3 pound Lahontan Cutthroat Trout. My son did the reeling and our dog, Gracie, got to "help" catch it to. The fish was released by our helpful dog at the shoreline.
A short but fun outing. The weather was breezy and cool with mostly cloudy skies. Fishing pressure on the lake was very light.
