Fishing was good. More of a variety of bugs are now hatching on lake. Damsels and dragonflies are now evident. More of a variety of mayflies, although hatches were very sparse. Noticed some were fishing chronomids with some success. I was successful with Denny Rickard's stillwater nymph, fished with intermediate sinking line, cast and stripped slow with four inch pulls. During some surface feeding, a CDC emerger worked. Lake starting to get weedy, which makes fishing a little more difficult in places. Fish are getting bigger as season progresses. Fish are running between 18 and 20 inches and heavier and are very strong fighters. One went airborne 5 or 6 times and almost went into my backing.
