5/18 - Started fishing about 2100. Used dark woolley bugger, many hits, one brown landed.
5/19 - Started in morning with same woolley bugger - green w/ black tail. Couple of browns, nothing consistent so went to bead head pheasant tail. Couple of more fish before the WIND. Got off the lake about 1200 and never went back. Spent a "nice" night listening to the rain fly on the tent.
They must have planted a bunch or browns (perhaps the same time they planted Nunnally). None of them are very big, 12" biggest. There are many larger rainbows (18 - 20") but it takes work - as it should -to get them.
5/20 - Hit the water at 0430. Used a bead head prince nymph. Picked up a number of the small browns early. Slowed down on the wet stuff so went to small drys - 18 - and did fairly well - even managed an 18" RB. A nice change from the browns. Good hatch on, you jst had to go small with the drys.
Forgot about the great birds - avocets, stilts, phalaropes, etc. No snakes or ticks found.
(BTW - RLC - Walk is about 20 -25 minutes.)
