We were blown off Blue Lk by the wind, so decided to run over to Deep Lk
and try that for the first time. What a beautiful lake! Fished a spinner from
shore and picked up 8-10 small bows about 8-10 inches on just about every cast. Many
on the shore were catching fish too. We decided to run back to Blue and grab the boat.
Fishing a home made spinner I call the Alpine Killer we caught and released at least a 100 fish between
myself, girl friend and friend Don. We had non stop action on small bows of 8-10 inches.
We did pick up some large carry overs of about 2.5 lbs. The shoreline
anglers were throwing back the little ones and the seagulls were gorging on the dead ones
floating to the surface. If you squeeze the barb down and shake the fish off you don't even need
to touch it. One group must have caught 50 fish using bait. The flock of seagulls had a feast.
It makes me sick to see this.
