Fished for Trout off the SE end of Mercer Island. Fished 4 hours 8-noon. Trolled with 3/4 oz. lead, brass ford fender, and red weding ring rig with medium size night crawler. I troller at 1.3 mph on my gps. I had 4 strikes, resulting in one trout 19 1/2 " about 2.5 #. Second strike was brought to boat and lost est. at 15". Third and forth strike the fish cleaned the hook but no hookup. Reading a artical from Fishing Holes Magazine about not picking up on the first dip of the pole worked. These fish play with the bait quite a bit before striking with a lot of force self hooking. Had a great day with lots of sun shine and sun burn.
