Launched from Seaton's Grove around 7:15 A.M. and headed down to the first set of pens. We trolled the hump until around 11:00 A.M. with rapalas and didn't get a bite. We then headed down to the other set of pens and fished the south bank. Caught one small native that we released without taking out of the water. Saw two other triploids caught. We then headed back toward the launch and found another spot to try. On the first pass one of our poles goes off, the reel is singing as the fish is pulling drag. By the time Josh gets to the pole fish off. We continue to troll, with Josh nest to the rods this time. We go about another 100' and the same rod starts singing again. This time we get it to the net and take a 5 lb. triploid. Continue to troll and on the next pass same rod goes off again and it's my turn. Bring this fish to the net and it's a 7lb. triploid. Shortly after this fish is landed two boats go cruising through our little hole and the bite is off. All in all a good day with two nice fish for the table.
I live with fear everyday, sometimes she lets me go fishing.
