In the Winter of 98, this lake was alive with planted rainbows, huge native cutts, and some beautiful brook trout. It was a lake you could go to and have the feeling of true "uncivilized" fishing. However, some of the local hillbillies have decided that the only good trout is a dead trout. Even worse, the total trashing of the surrounding
shore is an embarrassment to all Washington State fisherman. The Locals complain about how Weyerhouser has gated the area and charge an annual fee for access. One glance around McLeod and its lucky they don't just shut the whole area down.
