Fished Green lake for the first time this year. After discovering
this web site recently, my thoughts were confirmed, this lake is the
best kept secret in King county. I've always seen some huge fish in this lake
and I keep reading about a great variety of species.
Anyway, I slid into the west side of the lake a couple hundred yards
North of 65th street. The fly gear wasn't set up so I went with the
worm and bobber stand by. About 10 seconds after my first cast the
bobber heads 90 degrees, I missed this fish. About 10 minutes into my
second cast I landed a 16" Rainbow. Unfortunately he swallowed the
hook to deep so I had to confiscate him, ( I actually found two more
hooks within, so maybe it was just his time)
I only had about 45 minutes to fish, and spent this time amongst many
active fish on the surface, staying about 10 ft. out from the lilies.
I will go back Sunday a.m. I am looking forward to some of these
monster carp that I am hearing about.
