We launched about 5:30am. We fished the lily pads looking for spiny rays. We were very successful at that. One fellow was a novice fisherman. He took home a load of perch that he's likely STILL cleaning and filleting. One trout was caught about 6am. Nice size... about 14-16", and it jumped a couple times. Even after the water skiers and jet skis started we were still catching fish. 50% of the catch were deemed too small to keep. We used worms very successfully.

It was a very fun morning. Except for the inconsiderate skiers and jerks on jet skis. I'd like to see hours for fishing only like other lakes have. Everyone but them would agree in a minute. But being a holiday you have to expect unruly crowds. You'd think they'd ALL been drinking tequila except the fishermen.
