Took advantage of a school holiday with the one person who will fish when its cold, my 7 year old son! We headed out to Long Lake after hearing some local reports of catching smallmouth trolling plugs. Being such a large lake our lack of success probably had more to do with location than what we were doing. We did manage to catch one fish apiece...both squawfish! Wait...pikeminnow I believe is the new PC name for them. Oh well, at least we didn't get skunked and we had the reservoir to ourselves!
