Three of us guys fished off our friends dock at clear today. It was a half day at school so we headed to the lake at about noon. What a day! some guy in a boat caught 1 6lb trout and we were on the dock consistently pulling in 2lb 17in. rainbows. The kick was we were using the smallest ice fishing rods with 2 and 4lb test and no net. It as a blast seeing those big fish emerge from the depths with our orange powerbait in their mouths. we caught eight of the big ones and a few small. These were excellent, the meat was as pink as a salmons. They tasted good too. The old guy with the 6 pounder was just trolling a worm. Everyone else who tried to troll pop gear weren't catching anything. Well, that's all folks.
