Beautiful afternoon. Thermometer in my pocket read almost 70 degrees. The surface temp was 52. My friend Damon picked me up at the dock, and off we went. I was trolling my favorite Super Duper, and first trip across the lake, fish on. It was a small rainbow. Fish released. 5 minutes later, another hook up, this time it was a Kokanee. Hooked in the eye, had to keep it. And then I had a strike, but then the rod (ultra light) sprang back straight, so I thought I missed it. Kept trolling at a little over 1mph, and no action. So I started to reel up, and there was something on the end of the line. I wondered how long I've been dragging this fish through the water? Anyway, by the end of the day we caught a total of 12 fish, all kind of small. Must have marked ten thousand fish on the finder. Didn't hook any lunkers. Maybe next time?
