It was a "wonderfully beautiful" (inside joke) sunny, Saturday afternoon and me and my friend (who prefers to remain anonymous), decided to try our luck on fishing at Twin lakes. Neither of us have ever been to Twin lakes, but quickly concluded that these were just two oversized trout farms, best suited for amateurs (Like us).
He was using a copious amount of lime green powerbait, while I tried my luck casting a bluefox spinner. The trout were nibbling at the powerbait, and were "soft" to take the hook. However, my friend brought two 9" rainbows in within the first 45 minutes.. Unfortunately, the only thing I hooked was the Park Ranger's nose when I attempted an advanced casting technique, now referred to as the "Ranger Comealong".
Overall, we had a swell time and I plan on returning, once the County's injunction against me is lifted.
