Four of us in two boats fished the opener at Jameson Lake. There weren't even half the amount of campers at the State campground as with last year's opener. We were out fishing on the lake by about 6:30am, as the rain showers were just letting up. We were anchored for only a few minutes and we had fish on. All four of us ended up limiting in less than 3 hours. All of us were using Powerbait of varying colors (fl. green seemed to be the winner). The fish seemed a little smaller this year than last years spring opener. Most were 10-11 inches, but we did get a few that were 14 1/2 inches. We saw people catching fish from boats and from shore. We saw some nice 17-18 inch fish being caught from the shore near the boat launches.
