Got up and on the lake at 5:30 am a little rain to deal with but not bad. We caught and released approximately 50 fish between Dad and I. We were trolling small hot shots and flatfish behind 0000 dodgers with a 1/2 once weight. We fished the large part of the lake near the north end resort staying in about 15 - 40 feet of water fish would be shallow in morning and evening . Also after the wind came up Sunday and blew most of the day and night it pushed a lot of feed to the north end and their were a lot of fish filling up on bugs. Hit the lake same time Sunday doing the same thing results the same mostly 10 -12 inch fish. Had to wipe the frost off the seats this morning. Did pick a couple of 18 inchers up. Monday hit the lake again the best day weather wise as their was absolutely no wind or clouds got up to about 70 - 75 degrees during the day. managed to boat a fish of 2 1/2 pounds. Also watched 7 deer head back up into the hills after getting their morning drink. Fish were smaller than last year and not as many holdovers. Seams like every year I see someone getting a ticket for keeping to many watched game warden hand out 7 tickets in one group. You think they would learn. A couple of years ago they were getting everyone including myself for life jackets. Had mine in the boat but my fishing partner left his at home. Now carry spares cheaper than $80.00 ticket.
