Contary to the two incorrect postings, this little lake is open year round as per the WDFW Regs, as it is "not specified under special rules in the Westside Lakes." This lake as with many other highland and lowland lakes falls under Seasons of the WDFW Sportsfishing Rules Pamphlet on pg. 56...Lakes, Ponds and Reservoirs are open to fishing for Game Fish YEAR-ROUND. It is not considered a beaver pond which open June 1. Further, the posting belief that the fish are wild is also incorrect. These fish are stocked on a cycle program and are of hatchery origin, planted as fry, and have been for well over 50 years. They are put in such waters like many others to be enjoyed by the public, C&R is not a mandate nor should it be where hatchery origin genetics apply. Simply, there is nothing wrong with keeping hatchery origin trout, releasing them is up to the angler if one doesn't wish to eat them. The daily statewide rule bag limits apply here also (5).
