went to the potholes for the day to do some crappie fishing. the fishing was really good around the net pens. i came home with 8 that i wanted to keep. i caught about 30 crappies. most of the fish were in the 9"-10" range. you had to know what you are doing to catch them though. not many other people were catching any except the locals. you had to work for them, but if you are patient you will get fish. remember to realese all crappie under 9". i got checked by the game warden when i was there. he busted a couple of guys for illegal bass.
