I fished W. Medical three times during the week of 08/27 to 08/30.
The first trip yielded 12 fair sized rainbows, the second producing 18 of the same, and the last trip, about 12. With diminishing daylight and a demanding work schedule, I'm finding it more difficult to eek out an evening's fair. However, with the fish as active as they've been this week, that's certainly no problem. I fished an olive and tan Damsel Fly nymph tied on a size 10 streamer hook shallow across weed beds and trigged some strong strikes. A strip of the line would almost always induce some interest. I've fished W. Medical all summer and with the exception of the hottest days of the year, I've walked away with more than my share of memories. Fish hard and remember to always catch and release.
