I fished Jameson on Sunday, 6-23-02. I worked out of a pontoon boat on the North end by Jameson Resort, and started off with an intermediate flyline stripping in a Jameson shrimp pattern. Caught several fish but action seemed a little slow. I switched over to trolling nightcrawlers with 1/2 oz lead on an ultralight spinning outfit. The fish were light biters, but plenty of action. Hooked, landed, and released about 19 fish before the wind blew us off the lake. The rainbow here is as tough as anywhere in Washington state when it comes to a quality fight. Finished up the trip with an outstanding late breakfast at the resort before heading home.
*Editor's Note: Per WDFW regs, when using bait for trout you must stop fishing after catching your limit whether retained or not. Just a little reminder...
