Hit the water about 10:00 a.m. and immediately picked up a nice triploid on a brown crystal bugger using a sink tip and medium slow strip retrieve. Landed 15 fish by lunch and another 10 after lunch. Mix was about 80% brookies (in their spectacular fall colors) and 20% triploids. Another fisherman was trolling a dark green bugger and seemed to be picking up a higher percentage of triploids. A few fish rising, but few fish taken on the surface. Light winds all day. Fishing on Sunday was slower, as the water was unrippled. Fishing buddy Randy, however, did quite well with a slower, twitchy retrieve using a Blue Dun Squirrel Tail and a light tan wiggle damsel. Fishing slow for the others on the lake, myself included (a mere 3). Lovely time of year to fish Leech.
